c£70k Bonus, Car Allowance and Pension

Established over 150 years ago, this £40m international and highly innovative manufacturer supplies a wide range of office, educational, conference and hospitality furniture to a wide range of markets. It has grown 50% in the last four years.  The company has been operating in the UK for over 20 years and is now looking to appoint a Country Manager to lead the UK Sales, Marketing, & Distribution business.

The Challenge

Reporting to the Group Board and leading a small but dedicated UK operation, you will take full P&L responsibility for the continued profitable growth of the company.

This hands on, customer facing role includes particular responsibility for business development and for taking the lead in the negotiation of large commercial contracts, particularly through A&D and D&B channels.

In consultation with the Group Board, to develop and execute the UK business plan with particular focus on improving the company’s visibility.

To manage, motivate and develop all sales and support staff, whilst formulating sales policies which support regional dealer partners.

The Candidate

Graduate calibre applicants may come from the office furniture and furnishing sectors, supplying UK markets. More important however will be your proven experience in developing sales through Architects & Designers.

You must have had success in sales/business development in a comparable sector whilst in depth experience in long-term relationship building is also essential.

An experienced coach and team leader, strong candidates will have had success in managing both office and dealer based sales teams.

An adept problem solver with high level analytical skills, you will have experience in the deployment of marketing and sales strategies, combined with the ability to interpret sales performance and market trend data.
